Several phthalates — including DEHP, DBP, and BBP — are classified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) under the EU REACH Regulation. Estimated recyclability for BOPP tape: likely Grade C (70-80%) — barely passing the 2030 threshold, but failing the 2038 requirement which permits only Grade A and B packaging. Importers using BOPP tape will face a forced transition by 2038 at the latest.
